ABOUT ME
Hi, my name is Emma Roberts.
Having qualified as a Speech and Language Therapist in 2002, I have since worked in a variety of environments including clinics, schools, pre-school settings, specialist language provision and in homes. I have worked for the NHS across multiple trusts as well as working independently.
I am experienced in working with a wide range of difficulties including speech delay and disorder, language delay and disorder, selective mutism and social communication difficulties.
I love working with children and find great pleasure in seeing their progress with communication. I firmly believe that children should be given every opportunity to communicate to the best of their ability and I am committed to supporting this journey, in collaboration with their parents, caregivers and other adults involved in their care and development.
I am a member of HCPC, RCSLT and ASLTIP, and am DBS checked.
In addition to this, I have 3 children of my own. Having my own children has definitely helped me to be a better SLT.
I am also owner of Pop Up Play Village in Loughborough, Coalville, Ashby and Swadlincote - a children's role play business.
